Game Overview and Controls

Genetic Siege is a biology-focused Tower-Defense game where you play as a cancerous tumor trying to expand and survive in a host body. As you grow in size, you choose mutations that help you survive against the efforts of your host to remove you.

Objective

Develop and maintain a cancerous colony of cells against waves of attacks. If successful, the player is slowly rewarded with mutations designed to augment or change their strategy.

The player controls a top-down view of the area it is lurking in by clicking to grow cells and build buildings. The different buildings provide different defensive capabilities and can be used in combinations to greater effect. As the player progresses, they occasionally receive options to mutate and gain new powers. The goal

Structure Summary

Base Cell: Foundational structure that contains 4 slots to build the specialized buildings below

Spike Protein Launcher: Basic defensive structure which targets enemies.

Mitochondria: Energy producing structure which generates ATP which is a maintenance resource for all other structures

Fatty Tissue: Structure which increases cell HP and max protein storage cap

Redundant Nuclei: Structure which pulses a repairing aura

Building:

  • Place Multiple Buildings: Shift (while placing)

Camera:

  • UNLOCK THE CAMERA: C
  • Movement Controls: W, A, S, D
  • Zoom In: Z
  • Zoom Out: X
  • Pitch Left: Q
  • Pitch Right: E

Enjoyed this game! Some cool stuff you could do with this for sure! This is probably on the radar but a tooltip when hovering over your base cells telling us what the current setup is for each base cell could be cool! Nice job
